Overview
A daily American political talk show, broadcast on radio and on YouTube since 2005, hosted by David Pakman. The format is news commentary from a progressive position, interviews with politicians, academics, and journalists, and call-in segments in which Pakman takes questions from, and argues with, listeners of every political persuasion. He is known for a calm, dry delivery and for interviewing people he disagrees with at length.
Notes
An honourable mention rather than a main recommendation, because it is a US political show seen from outside the US. It is on the list because Pakman argues rather than performs, keeps his temper, and treats callers who disagree with him as people to be persuaded rather than as content. The interviews with the religious right, in which he lets them talk, are often more revealing than any rebuttal would be.
