Daniel Kahneman
Notes
Daniel Kahneman (1934–2024), Israeli-American psychologist, Nobel laureate in economics (2002) for work with Amos Tversky on the systematic errors in human judgement under uncertainty. Thinking, Fast and Slow (2011) is the general account: a fast, intuitive System 1 that is usually right and confidently wrong, and a slow, effortful System 2 that can check it but mostly does not bother. Most of the biases in this vault's Thinking Tools folder were documented by Kahneman and Tversky, and the account of intuition as a fast compiled model in my note on Knowledge is theirs.
