Notes
Sir Richard J. Evans (born 1947), British historian of modern Germany, formerly Regius Professor of History at Cambridge, author of the three-volume history of the Third Reich. Served as the principal expert witness in Irving v Penguin Books and Lipstadt (2000), where his 740-page report dismantled David Irving's use of sources.
