How I maintain this site

I use Obsidian to manage and organise my notes.

I previously used Obsidian Publish to make my notes publicly available. However, I was dissatisfied with the appearance and functionality of the published site, the limited customisation options, as well as an excessive subscription cost.

Wicked Mercury

I developed a self-hostable alternative to Obsidian Publish called "Wicked Mercury" using my preferred technology stack. I also created my own custom Obsidian plugin and synchronisation system to manage the publishing and updating workflow. I plan to open-source both of these in the future.

AI Use

I use several custom Claude skills to help maintain the organisation and cross-referencing of my notes. Occasionally, I also use AI to refine the language, improve the clarity of my writing, or help my hunt references and sources. As someone who is Dyslexic this helps me tramendously; but is not relaied on to do my thinking for me.
