Noodle makes animated video essays, mostly about video games, animation, and internet culture, in which the argument is carried by a cast of scribbled characters and the host's own exasperated narration. Topics have included the design of particular games, the economics of game development, the collapse of various online platforms, and the experience of trying to make a living on YouTube. The animation is deliberately rough and the editing is fast.

On the list for the writing. Noodle's essays are properly argued, with a thesis, evidence, and counter-examples, and the jokes are in service of the point rather than instead of it. It is the kind of channel that makes the case that a video essay can be an essay.
