al-Ghazali
Notes
Abu Hamid al-Ghazali (c. 1058–1111), Persian theologian, jurist, and mystic, one of the most influential thinkers in Islam. The Incoherence of the Philosophers attacked the Aristotelian doctrine of an eternal universe and argued that the world began to exist and so has a cause. This is the medieval form of the Kalam Cosmological Argument that William Lane Craig revived in 1979.
