Dave Farina's 2025 response to the Weinstein–Carroll exchange on Piers Morgan Uncensored (Don't Talk About Physics Fight Club). Farina goes through the episode clip by clip, checks Weinstein's claims about the history and sociology of physics against the record, and sets out why Geometric Unity has not been taken seriously by physicists: it has not been submitted for review, it does not make testable predictions, and the one paper describing it admits it is pieced together from memory.

Notes

  • The factual spine is sound and worth having, because Weinstein's account of physics is persuasive to anyone who does not know the field and Farina does the work of showing where it departs from what happened.
  • The tone is the usual problem. Farina's contempt is entertaining and, in this case, not undeserved, but it makes the video useless for persuading anyone who is sympathetic to Weinstein, who will experience it as confirmation that the establishment is sneering.   • The underlying point stands regardless of who makes it: a theory of everything that cannot be written down for other people to check is not a theory, it is a claim to have one. See Burden of proof and Popper's Razor.
