Overview
Alasdair Beckett-King is a British stand-up comedian whose channel consists mostly of short sketches parodying a genre in its entirety: every episode of a Scandinavian crime drama, every British period drama, every lo-fi folk horror film, every panel show. He writes, performs, and edits them himself, usually playing every part, and the jokes are in the structure as much as the lines. He also posts longer stand-up pieces and a series on the oddities of British history.
Notes
The sharpest parodist working on the platform, and the best at identifying what a genre's conventions actually are, which is a skill not unrelated to spotting the structure of a bad argument. Nearly every sketch is under three minutes and none of them is padded.
