Edward Feser (born 1968) is an American Catholic philosopher and the leading contemporary advocate of Thomist natural theology. The Last Superstition (2008), Aquinas (2009) and Five Proofs of the Existence of God (2017) restate the arguments of Aristotle, Aquinas and Leibniz in modern terms, with an emphasis on "essentially ordered" causal series and divine simplicity. He appears here as the author of the strongest current forms of the Argument from Existential Dependence and the Argument from Divine Simplicity.
