Peter Railton

Peter Railton (born 1950), American philosopher at Michigan. His 1986 paper "Moral Realism" defends a naturalistic moral realism on which moral facts are facts about what would promote human interests under idealised conditions. I cite it because it is the strongest version of the view that my account of moral claims comes closest to while still rejecting the word "realism".
