Simon Blackburn
Notes
Simon Blackburn (born 1944), British philosopher, formerly of Cambridge, best known for quasi-realism: the view that moral statements express attitudes rather than describe facts, yet can legitimately be treated as if they were true or false in ordinary discourse. Ruling Passions (1998) is the full account; Think (1999) is an excellent introduction to philosophy generally.
