Michael Licona (born 1961), American New Testament scholar and apologist, co-author with Gary Habermas of The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus (2004) and author of The Resurrection of Jesus: A New Historiographical Approach (2010). Notable for having been pushed out of evangelical institutions for suggesting that one passage in Matthew might be apocalyptic imagery rather than literal history, which says something about the climate in which the "minimal facts" are assessed.
