Eliezer Yudkowsky (born 1979), American writer on artificial intelligence and rationality, founder of the Machine Intelligence Research Institute and of the LessWrong forum, where Roko’s Basilisk was posted in 2010 and promptly banned by him. The most prominent voice arguing that advanced AI poses an existential risk to humanity and that the problem of aligning it with human values is unsolved (Paperclip Maximizer). His Sequences on rationality overlap considerably with this vault's Thinking Tools.
