Alvin Plantinga
Notes
Alvin Plantinga (born 1932), American analytic philosopher, the most respected Christian philosopher of the late twentieth century. Author of the modal Ontological Argument (1974), of "Reformed epistemology" (the claim that belief in God can be properly basic, needing no argument at all), and of the evolutionary argument against naturalism, which holds that if our minds evolved for survival rather than truth we have no reason to trust them, including when they conclude that naturalism is true. William Lane Craig prefers his version of the ontological argument.
