James Porter Moreland (born 1948) is an American evangelical philosopher at Biola University's Talbot School of Theology and co-editor, with William Lane Craig, of The Blackwell Companion to Natural Theology (2009). Consciousness and the Existence of God (2008) is the fullest statement of the Argument from Consciousness: that subjective experience cannot be explained by physics and so requires a divine mind. He appears here for that argument and as a substance dualist about the soul.
