Christine Korsgaard (born 1952), American moral philosopher at Harvard, a leading Kantian. The Sources of Normativity (1996) asks what gives moral claims their binding force and answers that it comes from the agent's own practical identity, not from facts in the world. A constructivist account that I find congenial in its structure even where I part company with its Kantian conclusions.
