Donald Hoffman (born 1955), American cognitive scientist at the University of California, Irvine. Argues in The Case Against Reality (2019) that evolution selects for fitness rather than truth, so that our perceptions are a species-specific user interface and spacetime itself is an icon on the desktop; behind the interface, on his "conscious realism", reality consists of a network of conscious agents. The first half is an interesting argument about perception; the second is idealism with a mathematical vocabulary, and it has the problems set out under that note. He is a frequent guest on the podcast circuit where consciousness and spirituality meet.
